If the status of the Host machine has not been updated, an Administrative Account User can request a status update by selecting this action. The RAS Server will be instructed to request a status update from the specified Host. The status updating mechanism works seamlessly behind the scenes, as Hosts generally alays communicate status-related information such as a login, a logout, a system startup or a system shutdown. Each of those triggers will cause the Host to send an update to the Gateway server so using this option is generally used in troubleshooting Hosts being inaccessible.
