RDS Host
· Transforms a regular Host into a special version that can be installed/run on a Remote Desktop Services server, where it will generate Host images to be injected into new RDS sessions created.
· These RDS Host images will appear as transient Hosts.
· Accessible only by Gateway-managed connections.
· RDS Hosts are automatically added to All Hosts and the RDS groups, and will be counted as concurrent RDS sessions under the Managed Hosts license mode.
NOTE:When this key is added to the regular Host, the Host service must be restarted; the Remote Desktop Services tab to configure settings for the RDS Host sessions, including which Gateway to report to, will then be enabled in the Host Control Panel.
VDI Host
· Transforms a regular Host into a special version that can be configured as part of a virtual desktop template and will inject transient VDI Hosts into any virtual desktop images created.
· Accessible by Peer-to-peer and Gateway-managed connections.
· The VDI Host will only exist while the virtual desktop is running, and will automatically be deleted from the Gateway when the desktop is discarded.
· VDI Hosts are automatically added to All Hosts and the Host for VDI groups, and will be counted as concurrent VDI session under the Managed Hosts license mode.
